David Mariano
Mr. Mariano joined Wellspring as a partner in 1997. He previously spent six years at The Blackstone Group where he was most recently a managing director in the restructuring group. At Blackstone, Mr. Mariano advised numerous clients on a wide variety of complex corporate turnarounds, debt restructurings, out-of-court workouts and Chapter 11 reorganizations, representing both creditor groups and debtors. Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Mariano was a senior manager in the Corporate Finance Department of Ernst & Young, where he was involved in numerous mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions. Mr. Mariano holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gustavus Adolphus College and an MBA from Duke University.

Joshua C. Cascade
Mr. Cascade joined Wellspring in 2002. He previously spent four years with Odyssey Investment Partners where he worked on a number of leveraged acquisitions and recapitalizations of middle market companies. Prior to joining Odyssey, Mr. Cascade was an associate with The Blackstone Group in the restructuring group, advising clients in corporate turnarounds, debt restructurings and Chapter 11 reorganizations. Mr. Cascade received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan.

David H. Robbins
Mr. Robbins joined GSC Group at its inception in 1999 and is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing control distressed debt investments. He was involved in the formation of our GSC’s European Mezzanine Group working in our London office for three years focused on analyzing and executing a variety of mezzanine transactions. He was previously with The Blackstone Group, in the Principal Investment and Mergers and Acquisitions Groups, where he worked on a variety of private equity and advisory transactions. Mr. Robbins is also on the board of ATSI Holdings, International Wire Group, Inc. and Neucel Specialty Cellulose. Mr. Robbins graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, with a B.S. degree in Economics.

Richard Lin
Mr. Lin joined GSC Group in 2007 and is responsible for evaluating, executing and monitoring control distressed investments. He was previously an investment banker at Banc of America Securities LLC in the Media & Telecommunications Group, where he worked on a variety of advisory and financing transactions. Mr. Lin graduated Cum Laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics degree with concentrations in Finance and Accounting.

Robert (Bob) Taylor
Robert Taylor has over 25 years of professional experience in the pulp and paper and chemical cellulose industry. Robert has held various senior management positions in operations at International Paper Company, including seven years with the dissolving pulp mill operations located in Natchez, Mississippi. At Sappi Fine Paper North America, Taylor was Vice President of Manufacturing and was responsible for pulp sales, wood procurement and engineering as well as operations for five manufacturing facilities throughout North America. He holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of New Brunswick and has published several articles on the subject of manufacturing and maintenance.
