Robert (Bob) Taylor
Mr. Robert Taylor joined Neucel in November 2007 with over 25 years of experience in the pulp and paper and chemical cellulose industry. Bob has held various senior management positions in operations at International Paper Company, including seven years with the dissolving pulp mill operations located in Natchez, Mississippi.
Subsequent to leaving IP as Vice President of Manufacturing Systems for the Printing Papers Division, Bob joined Sappi Fine Paper North America where he was Vice President of Manufacturing responsible for pulp sales, wood procurement and engineering as well as operations for five manufacturing facilities throughout North America. Immediately prior to joining Neucel Mr. Taylor spent one year with Armstrong World Industries as Vice President of Operations for the company’s seven North American Plants.
Tony Wong
Born in Hong Kong, Tony immigrated to Canada in 1975 where he completed high school in Nackawic, New Brunswick, following which he attended the University of New Brunswick and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
Tony works in the pulp and paper industry for over twenty-six years in various positions including process engineering, capital project management, commissioning & startup as well as production and maintenance management. Tony held the position as Technical Services Manager in BC at Celgar Pulp. In October 1995, he accepted a corporate promotion within Stone Container Corporation as Production Manager and moved his family back to New Brunswick from British Columbia. In May 1997, he was promoted to the position of General Manager at the Smurfit-Stone Container Bathurst Pulp & Paper Mill.
In October 2005, he accepted the position of Mill Manager at the Cascades Boxboard Mill in Toronto, Ontario. In August 2008, he accepted the position of Account Manager – Ontario Region at Intergraph Canada Ltd. and in April 2011, he returned to the Pulp Industry as the Mill Manager at Neucel Specialty Cellulose in Port Alice, BC.
Tony is registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia & Ontario.
John Schroeder
Mr. John Schroeder has been with Neucel since June 2007 and is responsible for the administration of customer service, logistics, distribution, purchasing, legal services and mill stores. He has a total of 30 years experience in supply chain management, including positions with Northwood Pulp and Timber Limited and Canadian Forest Products Ltd.
John is focused on the transformation of Neucel logistics and purchasing to a demand driven supply chain. This has included 3PL selection and outsourcing, supplier/service provider strategy formulation, purchasing/logistics/inventory management optimization, and on-demand software implementations for purchasing/mill stores.
Ray McDonald
Mr. Ray McDonald joined Neucel in February 2012 as Vice President, Finance and brings over 44 years’ extensive experience in the BC forest and related industries.
Ray graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in 1976 and obtained his Certified General Accounting Degree (CGA) in 1980.
Throughout his extensive career, Ray has held various managerial positions with employer(s) such as Rayonier/Western Forest Products, Northwood Pulp and Timber Limited, Borek Group and Lemare Group. These positions included Accountant, Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
He is a long term British Columbia resident and along with his family enjoy many of the outdoor amenities that Vancouver Island has to offer.
Brian Markin
Mr. Brian Markin has spent his entire career in various facets of the Forest industry. Brian started his career with MacMillan and Bloedel where he spent over 15 years in a variety of production, management and sales and marketing positions.
Brian subsequently spent 10 years with Weyerhaeuser during which time he spent 5 years managing the production and marketing the products from an engineered wood facility.
He then spent 5 years custom cutting high value logs for customers in North America and overseas before accepting the position as Fibre manager with Neucel where he has spent the last four years engaged in the procurement and inventory management of Logs for the Port Alice Pulp Mill.
Eric Chen
Starting as the Fulida Group’s representative in Canada, Mr. Eric Chen made extensive contributions in successful ownership transition of Neucel. With over 25 year’s professional experiences in North America and China, Eric has held various managerial positions in global companies.
Eric has crossed different leading roles in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Program Management, Engineering, Operations and Consulting with Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Eric has successfully developed a cutting edge technology new business from greenfield in China market by granting national type approval, field operation team building, commercial trial system deployment, and Operational transition when he was the Field Operations Manager in Motorola Global iDEN Infrastructure Division back in 1990’. Since then, Eric managed regional sales in China market. Eric immigrated to Canada in 2004.
